(Peace pon eye and eye πŸ˜ŠπŸ’šπŸ€Œ

May eye and eye walk lightly.
May contradiction become curiosity.
May maps remain maps.
May reality reveal itself in its own time.
May connection outlive misunderstanding.
May rest arrive when rest is needed, and motion arrive when motion is called for.

Peace pon eye and eye. πŸ’š

02 Β· THE MOVEMENTS OF PEACE

Peace is not asked
to become stillness.

The prayer moves between light walking, open contradiction, truthful maps, patient revelation, durable connection, and the changing needs of rest and motion.

01 Β· POSTURE

Walk lightly.

Peace begins with the weight of an encounter. To walk lightly is to avoid making another person carry the force of our certainty.

02 Β· CONTRADICTION

Become curious.

Contradiction does not have to become combat. It can become the opening through which another observation enters.

03 Β· REPRESENTATION

Keep maps as maps.

A map can be useful without becoming the territory. Peace preserves the distinction between what we know and what is.

04 Β· PATIENCE

Let reality arrive.

Revelation has its own time. Peace does not force reality to appear early in order to make us comfortable.

05 Β· CONNECTION

Outlive misunderstanding.

Misunderstanding is real, but it need not be final. The relationship is allowed a life beyond the present confusion.

06 Β· RHYTHM

Rest and motion.

Peace is not permanent inactivity. It listens for which movement is called for now: rest when rest is needed, motion when motion is called for.

03 Β· THE AGREEMENT BENEATH THE ARGUMENT

yes no enough
all already agree

The final turn does not force a β€œyes” or a β€œno.” It notices that the meeting itself may already contain an agreement more fundamental than argument: that each is present, that each sees, that each may continue.

Truth is not made more true by a scaffold of performance. The prayer returns it to what remains when the scaffolding comes down.
